Ongoing Related projects with Potential Collaborations

CFEM - Center for Research in the Foundations of Electronic Markets - is a research center committed to combining and advancing state-of-the-art of Computer Science and Economics. More specifically, they deal with cryptography, algorithmics, complexity, game theory and mechanism design. The results will be used to design, analyze and implement new efficient and secure solutions for any type of electronic trading. This includes auctions, procurement, market regulation, cost allocation and new emerging types of markets on the Internet.

CUMULUS - Certification infrastrUcture for MUlti-Layer cloUd Services

EU FP7 project that investigates how in future cloud services can be made more secure and trustworthy for end users. Cloud computing is the use of hardware and software resources that are delivered as a service over a network. CUMULUS is developing an integrated framework of models, processes and tools supporting the certification of security properties of infrastructure , platform and software application layer services in cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). CUMULUS framework will bring service users, service providers and cloud suppliers to work together with certification authorities in order to ensure security certificate validity in the ever-changing cloud environment.

EU H2020 project that researches and develops new security and dependability infrastructure management paradigm. The approach is on one hand, User-Centric for self-service clouds-of-clouds, i.e., customers can define their own protection requirements and avoid provider lock-ins. On the other hand they focus on Self-Managed services for self-protecting clouds-of-clouds which can reduce administration complexity through automation.

UaESMC - Usable and Efficient Secure Multiparty Computation

EU FP7 research project which aims to produce up-to date knowledge in the area. The project will bring the techniques and tools for Secure Multiparty Computation (SMC) to a level where they can be applied to decisional and computational problems of practical size in several different social and economic sectors. To achieve this, UaESMC will apply a multi-pronged research effort to build the theoretical foundations for the practical aspects of SMC application.

SafeCloud

EU H2020 project that will re-architect cloud infrastructures to ensure that data transmission, storage, and processing can be partitioned in multiple administrative domains that are unlikely to collude, so that sensitive data can be protected by design. Further it will entangle with inter-dependencies that make it impossible for any of the domains to tamper with its integrity.

SUNFISH - SecUre iNFormatIon SHaring in federated heterogeneous private clouds

EU H2020 project which aims to provide a specific and new solution to face the lack of the necessary infrastructure and technology that would allow the European Public Sector Players to integrate their computing clouds. The SUNFISH project aims to reduce the management cost of private clouds owned by Public Administrations, while maintaining required security levels, and to accelerate the transition to 21st century interoperable and scalable public services, boosting enforcement of the European Digital Single Market.
